Privacy

In short: I collect only the data I need to reply to you, I use no profiling cookies, I do no advertising with your data and I pass it on to no one. The details follow, as required by Articles 13 and 14 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data I collect and why

• Contact form. When you write to me through the form I collect your name, phone number, email, area/town and the text of your message. I use them only to reply to you and prepare a quote. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR); this is why I don’t ask you to tick a consent box, it isn’t needed.
• Quote calculator. If you type an address into the calculator, it is sent to the OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) and OSRM mapping services solely to calculate the distance from Milan. The address is not stored on the site.
• Microphone, only if you turn it on. The tuning check on the home page uses your device’s microphone, and only after you press the button and grant permission in your browser. The sound is analysed on the spot inside your device: it is not recorded, not stored and never sent to me or anyone else. Closing the page switches the microphone off.
• Technical browsing data. Like every website, the server hosting these pages (Netlify) may log technical data such as your IP address, to keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Who I share it with

To run the site I rely on a few providers, who process data solely on my behalf:

• Formspree (Formspree Inc., USA). Delivers the form messages to me. The transfer to the United States is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision.
• Google (Google LLC, USA). My mailbox is Gmail, so the messages you send me arrive there. The EU-US Data Privacy Framework applies here too. The site’s typefaces, on the other hand, are hosted here on my own domain: no visitor data goes through Google Fonts.
• OpenStreetMap and OSRM. Only if you use the calculator, to turn the address into coordinates and measure the distance.
• Netlify (Netlify Inc.). Hosts the site.

I share your data with no one else and I do not use it for marketing.

Cookies

This site uses no cookies: no profiling cookies, no technical cookies, none from third parties (no Google Analytics, no social pixels). That is why you see no cookie banner: there is no need for one.

Anonymous visit statistics

To understand which pages are visited I use Umami, an analytics tool that uses no cookies and identifies no one: it collects only aggregated, anonymous data (page visited, length of visit, type of device, geographic origin at city level), storing nothing on your device and never following you across other sites. The data is kept on servers in the European Union (Umami Software, Inc., EU data region). Precisely because it is anonymous, this tool requires no consent.

How long I keep it

The messages you send me stay in my email inbox for as long as it takes to handle your request and any work we do together, and are then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy of it (Arts. 15-22 GDPR). Just write to lucapianoforti@gmail.com. If you believe something is wrong, you can contact the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).
